Site assessment and equipment condition review
As part of its commitment to operational excellence, Toyota Australia undertook a major HVAC upgrade at its T-CON facility in Altona. Premiair Group was engaged to deliver a modern, energy-efficient solution that improved system reliability, performance and long-term operational outcomes.
Toyota Australia required an upgrade of ageing HVAC equipment servicing its T-CON facility in Altona. The existing systems included two R22 package units nearing the end of their service life, along with an outdated gas heater and evaporative cooling system that no longer aligned with the facility’s operational requirements.
The objective was to improve system reliability, energy efficiency, and support the facility’s ongoing process and degasification strategies while minimising disruption to site operations.
Premiair delivered a complete HVAC plant upgrade, replacing the two ageing R22 package units with new high-performance package units and removing the existing gas heater and evaporative cooling system.
To better support the facility’s operational requirements and degasification processes, the gas heater and evaporative cooling system were replaced with an additional package unit, providing improved environmental control, reliability, and operational flexibility.
